At 9:22 a.m. on June 18th 2021, the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft is successfully launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, and three astronauts embarked on a space journey.
After the Shenzhou 12 manned spacecraft successfully realized the autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking with the Tianhe core module, the crew of the astronauts entered the orbital module from the return module. After completing the preparations according to the procedures, open the node compartment door and the core compartment door one after another. At 18:48 that night, astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, and Tang Hongbo entered the Tianhe core module one after another, marking the first time a Chinese had entered their own space station.
During the astronauts stationed in the space and core module, they will complete a three-month stay in orbit, carry out activities such as manipulator operations, space out of the space, and verify a series of key technologies such as astronauts’ long-term stay in orbit.
