The WTO’s trade monitoring data on the G20 show that since the outbreak of the COVID, the G20 economies have implemented 140 new measures on trade in goods, of which 101 (72%) are trade promotion measures, and 39 ( 28%) are trade restrictive measures. At present, the G20 economies are gradually withdrawing some measures against COVID . As of mid-May 2021, approximately 22% of trade promotion measures and 49% of trade restrictive measures have been terminated.
